At Himalayan Children’s Charities, these communities are especially close to our hearts. Since the devastating earthquakes of 2015, HCC has worked with children and families in Rasuwa, Dhading, and Nuwakot. We have built deep connections with the people and communities we serve. To see these communities facing another devastating disaster is heartbreaking.
Our immediate concern is the safety and wellbeing of the children supported by HCC. Our team in Kathmandu is in communication with local authorities and school principals to ensure that our students are safe and have the resources they need during this difficult time. We are continuing to monitor the situation closely and remain in contact with people on the ground.
Across Nepal and around the world, people are responding with incredible generosity. At a time of such profound loss, this compassion and solidarity are a powerful reminder of the strength of communities and the importance of standing together.
